Resistance! Atelier

Wij zoeken jongeren van 16 t/m 23 jaar die mee willen doen aan het internationale project Resistance!

Voor ons nieuwste Grenzeloos project ‘Resistance! A Youth Festival of Modern European History’ zijn wij op zoek naar jongeren die zich willen verdiepen in de verzetsgeschiedenis van Molukkers in Nederland. Samen met theatermaker Fiona Kelatow en een groep jongeren ga jij in september en oktober onderzoek doen binnen de Molukse gemeenschap in Deventer. Jullie halen verhalen uit de geschiedenis en de gemeenschap op waarmee jullie in de herfstvakantie aan de slag gaan. Jullie bepalen zelf wát jullie gaan maken, dit kan een theater performance zijn maar misschien vinden jullie een andere kunstvorm zoals bijvoorbeeld een hoorspel/podcast of korte film wel veel passender; het is aan jullie!
Voor Resistance! Atelier geldt dat je geen theaterervaring hoeft te hebben. Ben je bijvoorbeeld geïnteresseerd in geschiedenis, techniek of filosofie dan nodigen we je ook uit om te reageren.

In 2024 gaat het werk dat jullie gemaakt hebben op tournee langs de 5 samenwerkingspartners van dit project in Slovenië, Tsjechië, Portugal, Frankrijk en Italië. Aanmelding voor het ‘Resistance! Atelier’ bestaat in eerste instantie alleen uit het meewerken aan het onderzoek. Als je het leuk vindt en beschikbaar bent kan je ook in 2024 mee op (een aantal) uitwisselingen van de Resistance! Tournee.

We are looking for youngsters between the ages of 16 and 23 who want to participate in our international project ‘Resistance!’ 

For our newest Grenzeloos project ‘Resistance! A youth festival of modern European History’ we are looking for youngsters who want to dive into the resistance history of Moluccans in the Netherlands. Together with theatre maker Fiona Kelatow and a group of young people you will conduct research within the Moluccan community in Deventer in September and October of this year. You will retrieve stories from history and the community which you will work with in the autumn break. Together, you decide yourselves what you want to make, this can be a theatre performance but you might find another artform (f.e. radioplay/podcast of a short film) to be more suitable; the decision is yours! 

You don’t need theatre experience to join our Resistance! Atelier. Are you interested in history, technology or philosophy, then we also invite you to respond to our open call. 

In 2024 the work you create will tour around Europe to our 5 partners in Slovenia, Czech Republic, Portugal, France and Italy. Signing up for the Resistance! Atelier will firstly only consist of the research part of the project. If you are available and would also like to join (some of) our exchange trips, there is a possibility of joining the Resistance! Tour in 2024.
